Customizing the Actions

First, read about how to customize a core page on your site, or how to create a custom page.

From the page that you're customizing -- in the left-hand sidebar, find the "Actions"

Choose the Actions Block that you want to use, and drag it to the right to drop it onto your page.

Hover over the Block, and click on "Content" to open the Editor window.

Click the "Data" dropdown menu.

You can customize your text here:

Customize the amount of space above and below your comments, here:

And, you can customize all of your colors to match your branding....

Add more Actions right here:

Customizing Action Visibility After It's Been Checked Off

We originally designed the action blocks to automatically "disappear" after a student checks them off. This is because when a student checks off a pre-action or a goal, it's complete - and they can move on to focusing on the next thing.

However, we found that some students felt a sense of "loss" when their completed Actions disappeared from the page (even though it's still available in the student's profile page).

By default, Actions now remain visible after being checked off

But, you also have the option as to whether your students' actions will remain on the page after being checked off- or disappear.

When you customize the Action, scroll down to this field here:

Select whether you want to "Hide from Student" or "Keep Visible to Student in Checked-Off State"

You can customize this individually for each Action.

Saving Your Blocks

Remember that once you customize a block, you can save it to use again on another page
