You can set up notifications for yourself to receive an email whenever a new student joins a course.
(Or, you can even be notified when a student completes a milestone such as completing a goal or finishing the course).
Here's how to set up the notifications
Let’s say you want to be notified whenever a new student joins your course.
In your Course Builder, open Step 5 “Add the Secret Sauce”
Go to the Experience Engine and choose “Create New” to start a new Experience.
Choose “Create from Scratch”
Choose your starting Trigger. In this example -- to be notified when someone joins a course -- the starting Trigger would be “Added to Course”
(You don’t need to worry about a stopping trigger…. just leave it on the default setting of run “once only”).
Next, you'll add your first action to this automation. Choose “send email”
You can use our editor feature to add tokens to the email (for example, the name of the student).
Most important step…. at the bottom of the window, you’ll see an option to send this email to “Student” or “Me.”
Select “Me”
You’ll now receive an email notification whenever a new student joins the course.
